I. Job Summary:
The primary purpose of this position is to support preparation of the Company’s SEC filings and certain internal reporting. This includes reconciling the statement of cash flows, drafting disclosures, monitoring current accounting guidance, and evaluating the completeness and accuracy of our disclosures. This position is also responsible for certain accounting areas, such as stock-based compensation, equity derivatives, intercompany, and other corporate areas as required.
II. Duties and Responsibilities:
a. Prepare financial statements and footnotes, as well as related supporting documentation, for quarterly and annual SEC filings on Forms 10-K and 10-Q.
b. Coordinate the preparation of the Quarterly and Annual Reports with business partners across the organization.
c. Assist with the preparation of the Company’s earnings releases
d. Perform ad-hoc accounting research and document conclusions
e. Support the internal controls through documentation and recommended improvements
f. Participate in special projects, improve processes and assist with updating documentation for the department’s Sarbanes-Oxley compliance
g. Interface with external auditors
III. Qualification Requirements:
a. Strong project management and communication skills
b. Strong analytical and problem solving skills
c. Strong track record of building relationships and establishing effective processes to address complex issues
d. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and successfully multi-task
e. Ability to work independently
f. B.S. or above degree in Accounting
g. 2-5+ year experience
h. Experience in a large Public Accounting firm or with a publicly traded company
i. CPA preferred
j. Experience with XBRL preferred, but not required
IV. Knowledge :
a. Computer Skills: Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word, Workiva (or similar)
b. Experience with ERP accounting systems and various on-line accounting research tools
c. This position does not supervise anyone
