Dietary Aide - Salem Terrace

Friendship is looking for Part-Time and Full-Time Dietary Aides at Salem Terrace Assistant Living at Harrogate. 

Summary: The Dietary Aide is responsible for providing food service to residents, guests and employees under sanitary conditions and for providing assistance in all dietary functions as directed and in accordance with established dietary policies and procedures.
 
Openings: 
FT 7:00a - 3:30p Monday - Friday and every other weekend 
PT 4:00p - 7:00p 

Roles & Responsibilities:  

• Correctly and safely uses kitchen equipment and utensils for food preparation, service and cleaning

• Abide by facility policies and procedures as well as laws and regulations related to food safety and sanitation

• Prepares meal trays for residents according to diet list for each resident; ensures that meals are complete and processed per individual requirements and requests per diet orders (i.e. puree diets)

• Ensures that meals are delivered promptly on-time per schedule

• Keeps kitchen clean and sanitized on a daily basis - prior to breaks and leaving for the day. Labels all food products for proper storage according to regulations.
  

Qualifications:

• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language

• Must be able to follow written and oral instructions

• Strong attention to detail

• This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds.

Education & Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED required

• Food service experience preferred

Working Conditions:

• Moves intermittently during working hours.

• Is subject to frequent interruptions.

• Works beyond normal working hours, weekends, and holidays and on other shifts/positions as necessary.

• Is subject to call-back during emergency conditions (e.g., severe weather,
  evacuation, post-disaster, etc.).
