U
se your administrative and organizational skills to provide support to Myers Industries’ executives, including Vice Presidents and Senior Leaders. You will work closely with business leadership and enjoy a lot of interaction with employees and external stakeholders.
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage executive schedules and act as liaison for executive team
  • Arrange travel, accommodation, including related correspondence and completion of expense reporting
  • Prepare correspondence, receive visitors, arrange conference calls and facilitate meetings
  • Fulfill information requests, conduct research, and organize presentation materials
  • Plan and facilitate events such as large-group offsite meetings and business meals. May help plan and coordinate company events, employee team building activities or special projects
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and data - maintaining records and correspondence for meetings
  • Support workflow management with key internal partners
  • Answer and direct phone inquiries, providing basic company information with high customer-service
  • Perform clerical duties – process invoices, take minutes, maintain files, photocopy, fax, collate, etc., as needed
  • Oversee maintenance of executive meeting rooms, pantry and office supplies
  • Provide backup support for Assistant to the CEO, as needed
  • Handle confidential information
  • Other duties and projects as assigned
Qualifications and Education Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent (preferred)Minimum 2 years' experience in executive level support role
  • Positive, collaborative attitude and mindset
  • Highly dependable, courteous and trustworthy – able to act with discretion and maintain confidence as appropriate
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
  • Adept at scheduling, calendar management and coordinating travel
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to effectively manage competing priorities and demands – meeting deadlines under pressure
  • Excellent time management, prioritization and organizational skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to anticipate and complete tasks before being asked by others or forced by events
  • Ability to identify important information and focus on key details
LANGUAGE SKILLS

Must possess ability to:
  1. Read, analyze, interpret and organize general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
  2. Write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals in a professional manner
  3. Effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of employees, managers, clients, customers, and the general public
  4. Read and comprehend complex instructions, and detailed correspondence

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS


Must be able to:
  1. Add, subtract, multiply and divide using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
  2. Develop and interpret basic graphs

REASONING ABILITY


Must possess ability to:

  1. Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
  2. Apply common sense to carry out instructions furnished in written, verbal or diagram form
  3. Deal with problems involving standard situations; ability to know when to take the problem to another person for information, help or resolution
TRAVEL DEMANDS
Must be able to travel to other business operations and facilities. Travel may be planned or extemporaneous.
