Maint-Tech Services - Maintenance Technician
POSITION SUMMARY: The Maintenance Technician duties include evaluating, maintaining, and repairing machinery; layout installing, diagnosing and maintaining electrical components, controls and circuits.The Maintenance Technician must work to ensure smooth and consistent operation to satisfy internal and external customer requirements.At all times the Maintenance Technician must work safely to prevent on-the-job injuries by following Buckhorn policies and OSHA standards.
EDUCATION/KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS: Associates degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of electrical measuring devices (e.g. amp-meter, multi-meter, megohmmeter, thermometer, etc.) and knowledge of hydraulic measuring devices (e.g. gauges, flow-meters, etc.)
MINIMUM SKILL REQUIREMENTS: Computer proficiency (Word and excel). Machinery maintenance experience including hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic and mechanical troubleshooting skills (a minimum of five years is preferred, but require at least 1 year of related experience/training).
Candidate must successfully complete a background investigation and pre-employment physical and substance abuse testing.
SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; ability to write routine reports and correspondence; ability to speak effectively with employees of organization; ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.Ability to do two mathematical operations to arrive at the solution; ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form; ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Includes the following; other duties may be assigned:
Maintenance Department is responsible for maintaining all equipment 14/7 which includes performing part maintenance and repairs, electrical and hydraulic troubleshooting to machines, and changing oil and grease in the machines.
Responsible for creating, maintaining and revising the entire facilities machinery specific LOTO procedures. Responsible for fabrication of and maintaining all facilities 6S and
LOTO shadow boards.
Responsible for maintaining the facilities infrastructure, both internal and external.
Assisting tooling in mold preparation and welder set-ups when required.
Assisting set-up with hot runner wiring and troubleshooting when required.
