Third Shift Production Supervisor
JOB SUMMARY:Plans, assigns and monitors the production of product, ensuring smoother and consistent operations to satisfy internal and external customer requirements.
JOB FUNCTIONS:Duties may include but are not limited to the following:
Coordinates personnel structures and staffing levels to accomplish the production of product. Maintain department ISO 9001 and 14001 quality and environmental
requirements. Interview and recommend applicants for hire.
Manage machine operators, team leads, and material handlers; oversee machines to ensure that they are producing product to the correct specifications.
Coordinate shift scheduling.
Plans and coordinates work, trains, and motivates monitors and evaluates performance of production employees. Ensures their ability to safely operate equipment,
counsels, records and disciplines as necessary.
Develops Team Leads to effectively oversee the daily routine of their assigned employees.
Makes necessary adjustments on injection molding machines to produce quality products safely to acceptable standards. Responsible for new machine startup and test
Monitors and measures production against production standards for their shift.
Interaction with other departments and molding facilities in scheduling of machinery and resources.
Responsible for monitoring, tracking, recording, and ensuring that all equipment is producing standard cycles, weight, and quality requirements as outlined in
provided work orders and BOMs.
Responsible for conducting first article inspections in accordance with provided product sketches.
Utilize and incorporate the use of 6s and 5Why strategies in the plant.
Work safely to prevent on-the-job injuries by following Ameri-Kart policies and OSHA standards.
Available outside of normal shift hours when needed.

SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Education: College Degree, Bachelors in Operations, Business or related field, preferred.
Experience: Leadership experience, 2-5 years, required. 5+ years’ experience in plastic mold manufacturing; preferred. Lean Manufacturing experience, preferred.
Computer Skills: Familiarity of Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), ERP system (Global Shop a plus)
Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence; as well
as speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Knowledge: Ability to add, subtract, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to do two mathematical operations to arrive at the solution.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding o carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in
Certificates & Licenses: Lean training a plus
Other Requirements: Desires to take on new challenges/opportunities and evolve through continuous improvements. Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment, highly
self-motivated and directed. Flexibility for relocation; preferred.
